In June of 2017 Axiom implemented a staffing program for an automotive manufacturing client.
Axiom was initially selected to repair a failed staffing plan that was in place at the time. Specifically, the incumbent provider was experiencing regular shortages of headcount and an unacceptable lag time of filling open positions.
Our team developed a proactive hiring process to include a presentation of candidate profiles to hiring managers, applicant tours of the facility (walking interviews), and scheduled client interviews. These initial steps of the hiring process were done not as a way of responding to current openings but rather to build a bench of employees who would allow our team to respond quickly to unexpected and last-minute staffing needs.
Onboarding and orientation materials were created and administered by Axiom which resulted in a more efficient and less time-consuming process from interview to start date.
Our team implemented an unpaid time-off program (“UTO”) that encouraged perfect time and attendance while also allowing for earned absences. This program counter-balanced the more traditional points system we see with many client companies.
