Use Facebook’s Jobs feature.
Did you know that Facebook has its very own Jobs feature? You can find job postings on Facebook in two places: on a company’s individual Facebook page under the Jobs tab, and on the Jobs Page where you can search all jobs by location, skillset, industry, etc. Just find the Jobs tab on your mobile or desktop browser and start searching. You may very well be surprised at what you find!
Take a look at your privacy settings.
Facebook tells us that an employer will only be able to see your public information if they connect with you and view your page. And while that may be true, you’ll want to make sure that what you’re putting out there is the image you want. First, check your privacy settings to make sure nothing is out there that you don’t want to be seen. Then, review your photos and posts to make sure it’s employer-friendly. You always want to make a solid first impression.
Facebook is a great place to research companies themselves. A company’s page should give you a good idea of what they do and other basic information, but it goes deeper than that. You should be able to get a sense of the company culture, the work environment, and the level of teamwork. It can really help to give you an idea of what it would be like to be a part of the team, and whether or not you want to pursue the job or company further.
